Luxury guests were present at Marco Verratti’s wedding this Thursday: several of his former Parisian teammates including Salvatore Sirigu, Javier Pastore, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede took the opportunity to post a photo of the “real PSG”.
Double dose of happiness for Marco Verratti this week: after winning the Euro with Italy on Sunday, the midfielder got married this Thursday with his partner, the French top model Jessica Aïdi, at the town hall of Neuilly-sur -Seine. Among the guests were several of his former PSG teammates including Salvatore Sirigu, Javier Pastore, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swede immortalized the reunion in an Instagram story, in his own way.
To caption the photo, the Swede, all smiles, simply wrote: “The real PSG”. Not sure that the statement completely satisfies Verratti, who still plays for the club in the capital, but it is a nice wink: the five players belong to the same Parisian generation, that of the beginning of the QSI era.
Mbappé was invited
If Sirigu and Pastore were the pioneers, arriving in the summer of 2011, the other three followed them the following summer. They then evolved together until 2016, winning four French championship titles. From now on, only Verratti, the youngest of the gang, still evolves in France, where his friends have gone to other horizons. Also present at the ceremony, Kylian Mbappé also had the right to his photo with Zlatan.
The wedding of Verratti, who got engaged at the end of last year, took place at the town hall of Neuilly-sur-Seine, just a few days after the final of the European Championship. This pretty page now turned, the Italian will be able to concentrate on the field: Paris resumes its season on August 1, for the Champions Trophy against LOS, in Tel Aviv.
