Women’s D1: Baltimore best hope, while waiting for Diani best player

The UNFP Trophies are being revealed little by little. Sandy Baltimore (Paris Saint-Germain) received the title of best hope, while her teammate Kadidiatou Diani could receive the trophy of player of the year on Sunday.

The PSG connects the distinctions, both for boys and girls. After Christiane Endler, elected best goalkeeper in D1, and Keylor Navas, crowned for Ligue 1, it was Sandy Baltimore who received the UNFP trophy for best hope in the championship. At 21, the versatile left-hander dazzled the season with 8 goals and 10 assists.

Diani approached for player of the year trophy

Baltimore scored again on Friday night against Stade de Reims, and Paris Saint-Germain are still leading the D1, one point ahead of Olympique Lyonnais two days from the end. In a week, the OL-PSG shock should decide the champion.

Baltimore shouldn’t be the only distinguished Parisian this weekend. Sunday will indeed be awarded the title of best player in D1, and it should go to Kadidiatou Diani, the PSG striker.

Diani is named with two other teammates, Grace Geyoro and Marie-Antoinette Katoto, but also the Bordelaise Khadija Shaw and the Lyonnaise Delphine Cascarino.
