Rishi Kapoor failed in 8th class, when ranbir passed class 10th he was celebrated

Mumbai. Rishi Kapoor always wanted to become an actor. After working as a child artist in the movie Mera Naam Joker, Rishi made up his mind to pursue a career in acting, due to which his interest in studies was very less.

During an interview, Ranbir while talking about his father and studies, described himself as the most educated person in the Kapoor family. In an interview to PTI, Ranbir Kapoor said that he himself has been a worse student than an average.

In such a situation, whenever his result was poor, mother Neetu used to threaten him to tell his father, although Rishi himself has been a bad student. He said, ‘I am glad that there was no Twitter at that time, or father did not know what to write in it’.

Kapoor family was always away from studies

During the interview, Ranbir said, ‘My family history has been very bad in studies. My father failed in the 8th, my uncle failed in the 9th and my grandfather on the 6th. I am truly the most educated boy in my family. I was 56 percent in class 10th, my family had also celebrated in London.

Dropped studies and chose the path of acting

Rishi Kapoor took his early education from the Champion School along with the brothers, after which he did further education from Mayo College, Ajmer. Rishi Kapoor did join college for graduation but he quit his studies for his acting career.
