What is WhatsApp Pay?
UPI-based payment service of WhatsApp was launched in beta mode in India last February. It is currently live in India. Also, this service can be used by anyone.
WhatsApp Pay users can link their UPI-enabled bank accounts and transfer money through the messaging app. WhatsApp Pay will support all popular banks such as HDFC, ICICI, State Bank of India, Axis Bank, and Airtel Payments Bank.

Using WhatsApp to send money is as simple as sending photos and videos in the app. You can send money directly to the chat by tapping the share file icon in the chat bar and selecting ‘Payment’.
There is a dedicated ‘Payments’ section under the shortcut. Users can review their business, history and account details in this section. It’s as simple as using GPay or Paytm, you can do everything from inside the chat.
