WhatsApp has introduced a new sticker pack named ‘Vaccines for All’ to encourage users for the COVID-19 vaccine. Through this sticker pack, WhatsApp has praised health workers from all over the world. The new sticker pack has been developed in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO). WhatsApp has partnered with more than 150 national, state and local governments as well as organizations including WHO and UNICEF to offer certified COVID-19 information and resources to its global users. The ‘Vaccine for All Stickers’ on WhatsApp has 23 different stickers designed by WHO. It is available for download on both Android and iOS and aims to “give people joy, relief and hope about the COVID-19 vaccine”. Some of the stickers in the new pack are to praise healthcare workers. In a statement, Andy Pattison, Digital Channel, Team Lead, WHO, stated, “As COVID-19 vaccines are being introduced worldwide, the new sticker packs are intended to encourage vaccination and awaken hope. In addition to the new sticker packs, WhatsApp has connected the COVID-19 helpline to various national, state and local governments and entities such as WHO and UNICEF since the onset of the epidemic. The instant messaging app claimed that more than three billion messages have been sent through these global helplines in the last one year.
