The place is not yet fixed
On January 24, after a year without a fight, Conor McGregor conceded the fifth loss of his career. Dustin Poirier had beaten him during UFC 257, in the United Arab Emirates, after a little over 2’30 of combat, by TKO in the second round. In their first clash, which dates back to 2014, the outcome was the opposite. “The Notorious” had won by TKO before the end of the first round (in 109 seconds).
Since UFC 257, Conor McGregor has worked to recover from a right leg injury suffered in that loss. This physical glitch had led the UFC to pronounce a kind of medical suspension, in order to avoid any premature return to a cage.
The location of this “McGregor-Poirier 3” is not yet known. ESPN stresses, however, that the event should be open to the public. What would allow the UFC to make this series of fights one of the most lucrative in its history.
