“He was my hero”
Alpecin-Fenix has also published several video montages on its social networks, as well as images of its riders leaning on a vintage car. “He was my hero,” the rider developed in a sequence broadcast by his team. “And not because of his performances, but because he was my grandfather, quite simply. We attended a few races together, not too much because that he lived far away, but he always came to see me for the Christmas holidays, he watched my cyclo-cross races, it was always a special moment. He is famous for his second places on the Tour, but I don’t think so. Not that it’s a shame to be recognized for that, on the contrary it’s pretty cool. (…) He had his career, he let me have mine, he never tried to give me special advice. was proud of us. “
Alpecin’s infidelity in traditional navy blue and red hues, however, only lasted for the duration of the presentation. Saturday, it is with its traditional jersey that the Belgian team will start from Brest.
