New Delhi, April 16: The Board of Control for Cricket in India released its annual contract on Thursday. While some players have benefited from this BCCI contract, some players have also been disappointed. Yes, 36-year-old Kedar Jadhav of Maharashtra and veteran Karnataka batsman Manish Pandey have been dropped from BCCI’s 2020-21 contract. Jadhav and Pandey were in C grade in BCCI’s annual contract in 2019-20.


Apart from this, the BCCI’s new annual contract includes 21-year-old Punjab batsman Shubman Gill, Hyderabad fast bowler Mohammad Siraj (Gujarat) and Gujarat all-rounder Akshar Patel (Axar Patel).

Explain that according to the BCCI rules, a player has to play a minimum of three Tests or eight ODIs or 10 T20I matches in a season. If a player does not exceed these criteria then he is not selected in the BCCI annual contract.

In the new list released by the BCCI, Indian captain Virat Kohli along with Rohit Sharma and star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah have been placed in Grade A + category. At the same time, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma, Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya have been placed in Grade A.

B category includes Wriddhiman Saha, Umesh Yadav, Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Shardul Thakur and Mayank Agarwal. Apart from this, Kuldeep Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Deepak Chahar, Shubman Gill, Hanuma Vihari, Akshar Patel, Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal and Mohammad Siraj have been placed in Grade C.
