New Delhi, 7 May: The BCCI has announced a 20-member Indian team for the ICC World Test Championship final match with New Zealand cricket team in Southampton on Friday i.e. today. Apart from this, the team has also been announced for the upcoming England tour. For the World Test Championship final match, the command of the Indian team has been given in the hands of star batsman Virat Kohli. Apart from this, some experienced players have also returned to the team. Through this article, we will tell the names of two such players of the country who should have got a place in the Indian team for the World Test Championship. Their names are as follows-
Bhuvneshwar Kumar, the experienced fast bowler of the Indian cricket team, has not got a place in the team for the ICC World Test Championship and England tour. Kumar’s recent performance in the cricket field has been quite spectacular. Talk about his Test cricket career, he has taken 63 wickets at an average of 26.1 in 37 innings while playing 21 Test matches for the country. Kumar also has the feat of taking five wickets four times and three wickets in Test cricket. Apart from this, he has scored 22.1 runs in 29 innings of the same match in batting. He has three half-centuries registered in Test cricket. Kumar’s absence from the team for the World Test Championship and England tour is such an amazing performance in Test cricket.

India’s 21-year-old young opener Prithvi Shaw has come back to form once, leaving behind his poor performance against Australia. He has performed brilliantly in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and IPL recently. Shaw played 30 matches for the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2021, scoring 308 runs in eight innings at an average of 38.50. Shaw’s strike rate during this period was 166.48. Shaw is a batsman who, if he stays on the wicket for some time, then draws the match alone from the opposition team. In such a situation, Shaw should have got a place in the World Test Championship against New Zealand.
The teams for the Test Championship final and the Test series against England are as follows:
Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (captain), Ajinkya Rahane (vice-captain), Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Akshar Patel, Washington Sundar, Jaspreet Bumrah, Ishant Sharma , Mohammed Shami, Mohammad Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Umesh Yadav, KL Rahul (under fitness clearance) and Wriddhiman Saha (wicketkeeper) (under fitness clearance).
