The iPhone 13 would be marketed mainly in 5G millimeter version

The iPhone 13 could launch in a 5G version compatible with millimeter waves in several countries outside the United States. In a note taken up by the site MacRumors

, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo estimates that the telecom infrastructures will be ready for this in Canada, Japan, Australia and some European countries. These models could represent between 55 and 60% of deliveries.

An antenna on the right side?

For comparison, the 12 millimeter iPhone is currently in the minority (30 to 35% of the total) and is only marketed in the United States. This device is distinguished by an antenna visible on the right side. A feature that should be taken over for the iPhone 13.

France will not be affected

Millimeter waves will boost flow rates. They should lead to the emergence of new applications and make a greater difference vis-à-vis 4G than with lower 5G frequencies.

As a reminder, it is 26 GHz which has been chosen in France for millimeter waves. But they should not be allocated before the end of the year 2022 in our country.
