Barber based in London (England) for several years, “A STAR” covers many football stars and the Blues: Kanté, Pogba, Mbappé, Mendy, Mahrez, Zouma … He confides in his experiences before the League final champions between Manchester City and Chelsea this Saturday, where many players from both camps have passed through his hands.
Ahmed Alsanawi, alias “A STAR”, has been styling the biggest stars of the English Championship since 2013, in his living room in London (England) or directly at their home. From N’Golo Kanté to Riyad Mahrez, passing by Paul Pogba, Eden Hazard, Benjamin Mendy, Harry Kane or Kylian Mbappé, this Chelsea fan since he was little – he became known in the world of football for having been the Blues hairdresser for years, introduced by John Terry – has offered his services to many international footballers, including the France team.
Before the Champions League final between Manchester City and Chelsea, this Saturday (9 p.m.), the barber gave RMC Sport some funny anecdotes about the stars who have passed under his mower and his scissors, starting with Paul Pogba, who is known to be a fan of all the more amazing cuts than the last.

“Kylian, he used to have a boring haircut”
“The hardest part is Paul, loose ‘A STAR’ from the start. The most complicated cut was the one we made for ‘Black Lives Matter’. I had to draw a fist on his head, It took me over an hour. It was very difficult. Besides, he always changes his hairstyle. All the time. He never has a simple haircut. I remember that in 2018, when I was the hairdresser for the Blues during the World Cup in Russia (he was also for the Belgian selection, editor’s note), I was there every week. And there, Pogba had a very simple cut. It was the first time that it’s kept simple. Usually it’s faded, colorful… crazy stuff. But really funny crazy stuff. “
“For Kylian, he used to have a boring haircut. A size of 0.5 millimeter. And when I met him at the World Cup, I said to him, ‘Please, we have to do something. ”And since then, we have changed its look.” But the “easiest” to cut for “A STAR”, and this is far from being a surprise, will have been the French midfielder of the Blues, N’Golo Kanté. “N’Golo is very easy to comb. A length of 0.5 millimeters everywhere”, specifies the one who will undoubtedly be behind Kanté, Kurt Zouma or even Tammy Abraham at City-Chelsea, all passed under his expert hands.
