The presentation is only for the coming year but the test run is active on the streets. New pictures of the test vehicle have just been released.
As you can see in the pictures, the upcoming Tata HBX is being tested on the Leh-Manali Highway. Similar prototypes have already been tested in different road and weather conditions.
The vehicle can be seen completely hidden, but it gives a good idea of the overall proportions of the model. The main feature of the vehicle is the headlights of large SUVs.
The main changes to the front of the vehicle are the slim daytime running lamps, split headlamps, dual-tone bumper, and large squid plate. Black finish cladding, alloy wheels, and black B-pillars add to the beauty of the sides.
Tail lamps extending to the sides, dual-tone bumper, squid plate, and roof rail add to the beauty of the rear. Another feature of the vehicle is the interior with the first features of the range.
Features include a floating infotainment system, digital instrument console, multi-function steering wheel, automatic climate control, height-adjustable driving seat, and electric power steering.
The model will be powered by the same petrol engine that powers the Ultras premium hatchback. The 1.2-liter petrol engine produces 85 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. The gearbox will be a five-speed manual AMT.
The ex-showroom price of the vehicle is expected to be between Rs 4.5 lakh and Rs 7.5 lakh. In the market, Maruti Ignis and Mahindra KUV100 will be the main competitors of this model.
