Pakistan’s tainted former captain Salim Malik has now decided to knock on the door of the International Cricket Council (ICC) to get ‘justice’ as the life ban imposed on him for match fixing was lifted despite a Lahore court being lifted The Cricket Board has not allowed him coaching.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had imposed a life ban on Malik in 2000 for match-fixing but a 2008 ban on him was lifted by a Lahore court.
Malik said, “I wrote to the PCB that they should send me a questionnaire for whatever they want to ask me. I also informed them that I am ready to accept all the conditions of the Anti-Corruption Code Program related to the withdrawal. ‘
He said, “But he has not given any reply yet and so I have decided to go to the ICC to get justice.” I have been declared clean by the court and there is no reason why the ICC or PCB will prevent me from participating in cricket activities again. ‘
