A Japanese sumo wrestler has died due to Corona virus epidemic. The Japan Sumo Association (JSA) confirmed this on Wednesday. The death of 28-year-old wrestler Sobushi is the first case in Japan of a sumo wrestler due to Kovid-19, reported Xinhua.
According to the Kyodo News Agency report, Hasobushi’s first test came positive on April 10 and he was Japan’s first sumo wrestler to suffer from it. After this, on April 19, his health worsened and he was admitted to a hospital in Tokyo.
Sobushi died in the hospital on Wednesday morning. Sobushi made his debut in 2007 and reached number 11 in the fourth division of the JSA. On April 25 in Japan, four wrestlers from the Lower Division were found infected with coronavirus.
Significantly, about 16 thousand people in Japan have now been infected with the corona virus, in which 657 people have died. At the same time, more than 8 thousand people have become free from this virus. The Olympic Games to be held in Tokyo due to Corona virus have been postponed for 1 year.
