Inter Milan have a new coach. This is Simone Inzaghi. The Milan club formalized Thursday the appointment on the bench of the former coach of Lazio Rome, responsible for succeeding Antonio Conte. The ex-Chelsea coach has just left club nerazzurro after bringing them back to the top of Italian football with a 19th league title.
Simone Inzaghi, 45, the younger brother of Filippo Inzaghi, has signed a two-year contract, Inter said in a statement. He will live his first coaching experience away from Lazio where he was stationed since 2016.

He will have to deal with a complicated economic context
In this period of crazy waltz on the benches of Serie A (8 of the first 10 clubs of the last championship have changed technicians), Inzaghi gave up at the last moment an almost signed extension with the Laziali to take up a difficult challenge at the new Italian champion. This energetic coach will have to take control of the squad shaped for two years by Conte, with probably one or two key elements less: the owner of Inter Milan, the Chinese group Suning, indeed needs new money.
It is this economic resizing (lower payroll and capital gains are the objectives of the summer transfer window) that Conte refused, not wishing to revise his sporting ambitions downwards after winning the scudetto.
Control of the lifestyle of Inter will thus start from the bench, with a new coach whose annual salary will be around 4 million euros according to the Italian press, almost three times less than that of his predecessor (however left with a bonus).
