The government’s deconfinement plan, mentioned this Thursday by The Indian Paper, will obviously concern the world of sport. From May 19, the public will be able to return to the speakers, but in a very partial way. The resumption of sporting activity will also gradually be authorized.
We will have to be patient again to see the stands full and the gymnasiums running at full speed. But sports enthusiasts and practitioners should regain some freedom in the coming weeks. As mentioned by The Indian Paper and the regional press on Thursday, the government is indeed planning a deconfinement plan in four stages (May 3, May 19, June 9, June 30), which partly concerns the sports world.

For the return of the spectators:
From May 19, it will be possible to reopen the outdoor and indoor sports arenas to spectators. But under strict conditions, of course. A maximum level of 800 people indoors and 1000 people outdoors is mentioned by the government, which also speaks of “protocols adapted to each place and activity”. Note that a curfew will still be applied on this date, even if it will go from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Suffice to say that the last day of Ligue 1, for example, should still be played in empty stadiums.
From June 9, it will be possible to accommodate up to 5,000 people in sports establishments. But, new, access to the speakers should be conditioned on the presentation of a health pass, so for spectators vaccinated or presenting – a priori – a negative test.
From June 30, the last stage of the deconfinement plan, the gauges will disappear in theory, but not the health pass. The government, cautious, speaks however of a “maximum limit of public adapted to the events and to the local health situation”.
For the resumption of sporting activity:
Tired of running around your village alone for months? From May 19, it will be possible to vary the pleasures, since the resumption of sports activities in indoor and outdoor places will be authorized, with however adapted protocols. In addition, not all disciplines will be affected.
Indeed, it is only from June 9 that the sports halls will reopen (type fitness-bodybuilding, crossfit) and that the authorized sporting practice will be extended to outdoor contact sports and indoor contactless. With, again and again, health instructions to be observed.
