Removed from the field for a long part of the year, the Madrid right-back hoped to be able to be available to Zinédine Zidane again until the end of the season. But the Spaniard was injured again in training, this time with hamstrings. Based on information from Onda Cero, the defender will take new exams soon but his season is already over.
A real headache for Zidane
Real Madrid will travel to Stamford Bridge next Wednesday for the Champions League semi-final second leg against Chelsea. Already faced with a long list of absentees, Zinédine Zidane will also have to do without the services of Daniel Carvajal.
And to occupy the position of right side, the alternatives remain limited. Suffering from a sprained ligament in his left knee, Lucas Vazquez should not return to the field before the end of the season, too.
Used in the right lane in the second leg against Liverpool, Federico Valverde is also on the sidelines and remains unavailable. There remains Alvaro Odriozola, who had replaced Daniel Carvajal at the end of the game against the Blues.
