Mumbai, April 22: Royal Challengers Bangalore restricted Rajasthan Royals to 178 runs in the 16th match of the 14th season of the IPL, released at the Wankhede Stadium here on Thursday due to the excellent performance of their bowlers. After losing the toss, Rajasthan scored 177 for 9 wickets in 20 overs. Shivam Dubey scored the highest 46 runs from his side, while Ryan Parag added 25 and Rahul Tewatia added 40 runs. Mohammad Siraj and Harshal Patel took three wickets each from Bangalore. Rajasthan did not have a good start. He lost the wicket of his star opener Jose Butler (8) on a total of 14 runs. Butler was bowled by Mohammad Siraj.
Rajasthan suffered another setback on the total of 16. His second opener Manan Vohra (7) was caught by Kane Jameson at the hands of Kane Richardson. Rajasthan was not taking the name of difficulties being reduced. Only two runs were added on the total that David Miller (0) was dismissed by Siraj. Captain Sanju Samson (21) tried his best to keep his team’s troubles but Washington Sundar gave him a fourth blow to Rajasthan by catching him by Glenn Maxwell for a total of 45.

After this Shivam Dubey (46 runs, 32 balls, 5 fours, 2 sixes) and Ryan Parag (25 runs, 16 balls, 4 fours) managed to take the score to 100. Parag fell to Harshal Patel on the third ball of the 14th over. Parag faced 16 balls and hit four fours. His wicket fell at a total of 109. Rahul Tewatia came to support Dubey. It seemed that both of them would strengthen the score but Dubey was out on a total of 133. Dube was caught by Ken in the hands of Maxwell.
Rahul Tewatiya (40 runs, 23 balls, 4 fours, 2 sixes) openly followed this but the most expensive player in IPL history, Chris Maurice (10), could not do anything special. Both wickets fell at a total of 170. Chetan Sakariya (0) was also dismissed on this sum.
