After the series win, The Indian Paper.com asked a question to its readers whether Ajinkya Rahane should be handed over the captaincy of the Test team. Rahane has received more than 70 percent of the votes in the The Indian Paper poll results.
The question asked in the poll was whether Ajinkya Rahane should be handed over the command of India’s Test team. So far, Ajinkya Rahane has got about 71 percent votes.
In the poll that was asked on Twitter too, Virat remained far behind. At the same time, Rahane received more than 76 percent of the vote. The calm and restrained manner in which Rahane led his team to Australia is also being praised.
Not only this, some people on social media also talked about handing over the captaincy of the Test team to Rahane. Legendary cricketer Michael Vaughan also supported Rahane as captain.
After defeating Australia, India will now face England. The 4-Test series between the two countries will begin on 5 February. Then the team will be seen once again headed by Virat Kohli. After the Test series, there will be a five-match T20 series from March 12, followed by a 3-match ODI series from March 23.
