Detention Day is celebrated in 1620 with 52 kings to commemorate the historic release of the sixth Sikh Guru, Guru Hargobind, from the Mughal prison. The Chief Minister also urged people to refrain from bursting firecrackers. However, the state government gave a two-hour exemption in this regard so that pollution could be kept under control as pollution increases the risk of Kovid-19.
