PSG-Manchester City: a dozen Parisian supporters arrested

A dozen PSG supporters were arrested on the sidelines of the semi-final first leg of the Champions League against Manchester City (1-2) on Wednesday, according to L’Equipe.

Failing to be able to enter the Parc des Princes, PSG supporters showed their encouragement from outside. And some of them chased them past the curfew. According to L’Equipe, the police carried out a dozen arrests of Parisian fans after 7 p.m. around the stadium where the semi-final first leg of the Champions League between PSG and Manchester City was held (1- 2).

The Ultras had set fire to the players’ hotel

Before the meeting, the Collective Ultras Paris had organized a rally to encourage Mauricio Pochettino’s men based on songs and smoke, in front of their hotel in Rueil-Malmaison, where they were going green. Throughout the day, they had deployed numerous support banners at different places in the capital. It continued at the Parc des Princes with a huge tifo covering the empty grandstand seats and illustrating the message: “One region, one city, all behind you. On the way to the final triumph.”

A few fans also followed the route of the players’ bus from their hotel to the stadium. Some therefore remained in place despite the access blocked by the police.
