The Ultras had set fire to the players’ hotel
Before the meeting, the Collective Ultras Paris had organized a rally to encourage Mauricio Pochettino’s men based on songs and smoke, in front of their hotel in Rueil-Malmaison, where they were going green. Throughout the day, they had deployed numerous support banners at different places in the capital. It continued at the Parc des Princes with a huge tifo covering the empty grandstand seats and illustrating the message: “One region, one city, all behind you. On the way to the final triumph.”
A few fans also followed the route of the players’ bus from their hotel to the stadium. Some therefore remained in place despite the access blocked by the police.
