Hansi Flick, coach of Bayern, took stock of the many injuries affecting his group four days before the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League on the ground of PSG, Tuesday (9 p.m., live on RMC Sport).
The clash between Bayern and PSG (2-3), Wednesday at the Allianz Arena, left traces on the bodies of both teams. Several Munich players joined the infirmary after this defeat in the quarter-final first leg of the Champions League, including Niklas Süle, replaced in the first half and probably forfeited for the return to Paris, Tuesday (9 p.m., live on RMC Sport ). Hansi Flick was pessimistic about his defender.
The coach believes more in the presence of Leon Goretzka, also replaced during the game against Paris. “Niklas Süle and Leon Goretzka have muscle problems, said the technician on Friday at a press conference. Leon’s problems are not as serious as Niklas’s. We have to wait and see how things develop.”
A blow for Hernandez, absent from training
Flick will leave these two players to rest on Saturday for the reception of Union Berlin (3.30 p.m., Bundesliga matchday 28). This will also be the case for Marc Roca and Lucas Hernandez, absent from training this Friday after receiving a blow (to the ribs). The French should be present for the match against PSG. “Lucas received a blow, it has nothing to do with his abdominal muscle injury, but it is painful, he explains. We hope Leon and Lucas will be available in Paris.”
Three other players were content with a light session this Friday: Benjamin Pavard, Leroy Sané and Joshua Kimmich. Their program amused Flick. “I learned something today called therapeutic running, he said wryly. It’s great to learn something new at my age. The players just ran relaxed. . It was good for them. I know from my own experience that it is good to move and to keep moving. We did some finishing drills. As these players have been playing a lot in the last few weeks, they have stayed active but slowly.”
