Jind, Dec 1 (Language) In the mahapanchayat of Haryana Khapas held here on Tuesday, regarding the farmers’ agitation against the new agricultural laws of the Center, it was decided that pressure will be put on the MLAs belonging to the peasant class to withdraw support from the state government. The Mahapanchayat of the Khapas was organized in the Jat Dharamshala complex on the Urban Estate. A strategy was made to increase participation from the state in the mahapanchayat and to provide ration and financial support to the agitating farmers. The Khap Mahapanchayat was chaired by the state vice-president of Chahal Khap, Surajmal. The Mahapanchayat consists of 40 khaps including Binain Khap, Hisar’s Satrol Khap, Chahal Khap, Kandela Khap, Panghal Khap, Saharan Khap, Nandal Khap, Dhul Khap, Panchgrami Khap, Naugama Khap, Kinana Barha Khap, Chaugama Khap, Jat Mahasabha, Poonia Khap Representatives were present. Sarpanchs of several villages were also present in the Mahapanchayat. Khap leaders said that if the government does something wrong with the agitating farmers, they will not back down and the agitating farmers will be helped in every way. He said that milk and ration are being sent to Delhi from the villages and farmers are also going to Delhi to join the movement. National spokesman of Samain Sarvakhap Panchayat, Sube Singh Samain said that the Punjab government did not stop the farmers going to Delhi peacefully in protest of the agricultural laws, but the Haryana government tried to stop them. He said that pressure will be put on the MLAs belonging to the farming class to withdraw support from the state government. The legislators will meet and demand withdrawal of support and if they do not do so, they will not be supported and they will not be allowed to enter the villages in future. The Mahapanchayat condemned the statement of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in which he said that the farmers of Haryana were not involved in the movement. Khap leaders claimed that the farmers of Haryana have been opposing the new agricultural laws from the beginning. He said that the government is adopting the tactics of weakening the movement and wants to divide the issue of Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) into the farmers of Punjab and Haryana but the farmers of both the states are united. The political parties are only doing politics on this and the farmers of both the states will also solve the SYL issue. Meanwhile, head of the Sarpanch Association Jind Block Sandeep Roopgarh said that these agricultural laws are not in the interest of farmers. At the same time, there was a meeting of the Khap on the all-ethnic Dadan Khap Chabutra Palawan. It was presided over by the head of Khap, Dalbir Khedi Mansania. The meeting decided to support the peasant movement.
