This is three times more than in the first match against Germany in Munich, where the French fans were around 2,500, and it is better than in the match against Hungary last Saturday, where 5,700 French fans had to face nearly 60,000 unleashed Hungarians – and unfortunately authors for some of racist cries.
First place objective
For the first time in the competition, the France team will not be in hostile territory, since the Puskas Arena will serve as a neutral ground against the Portuguese of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Already qualified for the knockout stages, the Blues will be assured of first place if they win. In the event of a draw and Germany’s success against Hungary, they will finish second. And if defeated there is, Hugo Lloris and his comrades will probably have to settle for third place.
