BJP legislator from Ateli assembly constituency, Sitaram’s son and his associates have been accused of beating a constable and tearing uniform. When the video of the incident went viral, the police, who were avoiding filing a case, finally had to file a case against 4 people, including the MLA’s son. However, the MLA has dismissed these allegations outright.
Constable Bhupendra, resident of village Dadauli Fatehpuri of Rewari stationed at Atteli police station, alleges that when he was on duty at 9 am at Kanina Chowk in Atteli, he indicated to stop a pickup for checking. Angered by this, pickup driver Satish said good and bad and called himself the nephew of the MLA. After some time, this nephew, along with MLA son Praveen and others, came to the spot and called him to his office to make an agreement.
Bhupendra said that when he reached his office, Praveen Kumar and 3-4 other colleagues beat him fiercely and tore the uniform. Constable Bhupendra himself made a video and put it on social media. He alleged that the accused also took away his 3 thousand rupees. After the video went viral, Ateli police station in-charge Vikas Kumar said that on Bhupendra’s complaint, a case was filed against 4 people including MLA son for assaulting, threatening and obstructing government work.
MLA Sitaram Yadav said that after interrogating the son, it was found that there was no incident of assault and abuses with the policeman. However, if the policeman is making allegations, then the incident should be conducted by any high-level agency. If anyone is guilty in this case, he should be punished.
