Rajnandgaon, Dec 2 (Language) One of the patients who was ejected from the ICU after a leak in an oxygen cylinder at a government hospital in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh has died. Hospital management says that the patient has not died due to leakage of oxygen gas or lack of oxygen. Superintendent in charge of Rajnandgaon Medical College Hospital, Dr. Ajay Kosam said on Wednesday that at around one and a half hours in the hospital, there was a sudden gas leak from the oxygen gas cylinder after which the patients were pulled out of the ICU. He said that seven patients were admitted to the ICU at that time. Kosam said that when the hospital staff was changing the oxygen cylinder in the ICU, its meter broke and gas started leaking out of it. He said that during this period, the doctors and other staff present there took out the patients admitted there with machines and sprayed fire extinguishing chemicals on the leakage cylinder to avoid arson.
