OM is continuing its restructuring by appointing Mathieu Louis-Jean as head of its recruitment unit. He succeeds David Friio, who arrived last September and is new technical director.
As announced by The team, OM confirms to RMC Sport that Mathieu Louis-Jean has become the new head of the Marseille club’s recruitment unit. At 45, the former right-back had just left his duties at Manchester United and had also worked with OGC Nice. It will be operational very quickly in Marseille.
The game of musical chairs with Friio
This arrival takes place within the framework of the restructuring carried out for a few months at the level of the recruitment unit and more generally in the sports sector, with also a reorganization at the training center. Pablo Longoria therefore continues to put men of confidence in place.
An operation that comes after the appointment of David Friio as technical director of OM, which therefore frees up the place of head of the recruitment unit for Louis-Jean, a former Nottingham Forest player trained in Le Havre. Author of four selections with the Bleuets and 128 matches in the English Premier League, he is best known for his work with the Red Devils, after having been at the Gym’s training center.
Business, operations and communication directors expected
The Olympian club is therefore restructuring from week to week and this will continue very soon. In the coming days, OM should also appoint an operations director, a business director and a communications director. A construction site in parallel with a breathtaking end of the season despite everything, with a place in Europe which is played out in this home stretch. This continues this Friday in Reims, where OM can temporarily regain their fifth place.
