Chandigarh, November 25 (Punjab) Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said on Wednesday that night curfew will be imposed in the state from December 1 to deal with the corona virus-related epidemic. The Chief Minister said in a statement that the night curfew would remain in force from 10 am to 5 am amid the second wave of corona virus in the state. Announcing the new restrictions, the Chief Minister directed to double the penalty for not applying masks or keeping distance from each other from December 1. Chandigarh, November 25 (Punjab) Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said on Wednesday that night curfew will be imposed in the state from December 1 to deal with the corona virus-related epidemic. The Chief Minister said in a statement that the night curfew would remain in force from 10 am to 5 am amid the second wave of corona virus in the state. Announcing the new restrictions, the Chief Minister directed to double the penalty for not applying masks or keeping distance from each other from December 1. Penalty for not applying mask or not making distance from each other is Rs 500, which will be increased to Rs 1,000. Under these restrictions, all hotels, restaurants and wedding venues will be open only till 9.30 pm. The sanctions will be reviewed on 15 December. The Chief Minister asked the people not to show negligence under any circumstances. In view of the number of patients coming from Delhi to Punjab for treatment, it was also decided to review and increase the availability of beds in private hospitals of the state. The Chief Minister also directed the Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan to encourage private hospitals to cooperate and work closely with the concerned departments regarding increasing the number of Kovid care beds.
