Apple has just added three new products to the database of the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group) consortium. These are the new M1 processor-based computers: the Mac mini, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and the MacBook Air. But the base also includes a mysterious Bluetooth product of which we only know the code name: B2002.
The device has been put in the category of personal computers, indicating that it is not an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch, which are referenced in other categories from the base.
However, it is quite possible that it is also not a computer because Apple has already put Bluetooth components in this category, for example the H1 circuit, which equips the new AirPods Max headphones. It could also be a Bluetooth accessory, for example the AirTags trackers which still have not been announced by Apple.
The only information is that the product was added to the database on October 22, 2020 and its description mentions the terms profile, host and controller. The mystery therefore remains unsolved for the moment.
