During Moto3 qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix, Swiss rider Jason Dupasquier suffered a big crash this Saturday, immediately resulting in a red flag and the final end of the session. He had to be evacuated by helicopter.
Big concern for a Moto3 rider at the Italian Grand Prix. A few minutes after a terrible accident, the Swiss Jason Dupasquier (19) was still present on the track and had to be evacuated by helicopter to the hospital in Florence. The two competitors also caught in the fall, Ayumu Sasaki and Jeremy Alcoba, were able to get up and seem “OK” according to official sources.
A violent fall, several pilots involved
During the Moto3 qualifying session won by the Japanese Tatsuki Suzuki on the Mugello circuit, Dupasquier fell violently from his motorcycle at the exit of a bend, colliding in the process with a competitor who was able to finish his race on the bottom -side. On the other hand, the Swiss pilot remained stretched out in the middle of the track, waiting for help.
Several minutes later, several emergency vehicles and a dozen individuals surrounded Dupasquier. A helicopter quickly landed near the runway, waiting to take over the pilot.
