At the end of the contract at the end of the season, Michel Der Zakarian could extend the adventure with Montpellier. The coach has confirmed he is discussing an overtime with MHSC and will meet with management before the weekend.
Present at a press conference before the Coupe de France match against the amateur club Châteaubriant in the round of 16, Michel Der Zakarian confirmed that he was in discussions with Montpellier about an extension.
Arrived in Hérault in 2017, the former central defender saw his future on the Montpellier bench appear in dotted lines during the season. But two months from the end of his contract, the positions between the different parties have visibly come closer and the 58-year-old technician is discussing with Montpellier.
An appointment scheduled this week
While Montpellier will fight until the last day for a European ticket, Michel Der Zakarian will meet the Hérault management before the weekend and the match against Olympique de Marseille scheduled for Saturday (5 p.m.).
The technician could therefore continue the adventure with Montpellier and re-stack while the final stretch of the championship could come to play in his favor in the event of favorable results.
