Microsoft has just announced that it will begin to deploy the new version 21H1 of Windows 10. This deployment will be carried out in waves, starting with the machines that pose the fewest compatibility problems. You will therefore have to be patient because the update may not be available immediately on your machine.
This update is not going to revolutionize the operating system and should no longer be seen as the equivalent of a Service pack. On the other hand, it will install faster on machines that have the current version of Windows 10 (20H2) or the May 2020 update.
Microsoft is emphasizing telecommuting and offering new functions to meet the needs of its users today. In particular, Windows Hello can now manage multiple cameras with the ability to specify an external camera as the default device. Windows Defender Application Guard extension for Chrome and Firefox, which opens questionable web pages in an isolated environment, becomes more efficient. Microsoft is also improving the performance of the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Group Policy Service (GPSVC) to better support remote work scenarios.
