Chennai, April 17: The Mumbai Indians team has done the batting by winning the toss in the ninth match of the 14th season of IPL with Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium here. This is the third match between the two teams. Mumbai, captained by Rohit Sharma, recovered from a last-ball defeat at the hands of Royal Challengers Bangalore in this season’s opener and then beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 10 runs in their second match. On the other hand, Sunrisers, captained by David Warner, are still looking for a win this season. He was defeated by Kolkata in his first match, while in the second match, he lost the match despite being in a win against Bangalore.
Warner may become the first batsman to score 50 half-centuries in the IPL in this match. He is just one step away from it. If he does, then this will be his 40th half-century for Sunrisers Hyderabad, which will be the highest half-century of any batsman for any team. Rohit Sharma, as captain, is just 28 runs away from scoring 4000 runs in T20 matches.
