Beaten by PSG this Saturday (3-1), FC Metz coach Frédéric Antonetti was not tender with the Parisians, complaining in particular of their attitude and not considering them regular enough.
If FC Metz has nothing more to play at the end of the season, with an acquired maintenance and too distant European places, his coach visibly little appreciated the defeat of his family this Saturday against PSG (3-1). In a post-match press conference, Frédéric Antonetti attacked his executioners, who made the difference at the end of the match.
“I found Raï and Valdo’s team healthier”
“Maybe we haven’t seen the best PSG today,” he said. Before adding that the leaders of the championship “do not have the mentality”. Antonetti also believes that other teams would be more attractive in Ligue 1: “It’s a good PSG but I found teams much more regular in the match and in the season”.
The garnet coach compares this PSG with the team of the 1990s: “I found the team of Raï and Valdo healthier. There are attitudes that bother me.” Adding also that “when there was Ibrahimovic, it was tough anyway”. Before the Monaco meeting in Angers and Lyon-Lille this Sunday, Paris is nevertheless leading the championship and is preparing to play a new semi-final of the Champions League (first leg on Wednesday against Manchester City, on RMC Sport).
“In terms of behavior and attitude, there are things that bother me”
For Antonetti, losing eight games this season, “is too much for a team of this value, with so much money”. The Metz coach insists on his comparison with a PSG from another time: “In terms of behavior and attitude, there are things that bother me compared to teams from 1994-1995. Maybe the times have changed, maybe I’m getting old “. Anyway, his FC Metz is provisionally in the top 10.
