Arrived free at PSG after terminating his contract with Barça, Rafinha will still bring some money to the Catalan club. According to Mundo Deportivo, a transfer clause has been validated by the good Parisian course in the Champions League.
Eliminated by PSG and Rafinha in the round of 16 of the Champions League, FC Barcelona indirectly facilitated the payment of “bonus” linked to the transfer of the Brazilian midfielder. According to Mundo Deportivo, the Parisian club will have to pay 1.5 million euros to its Catalan counterpart after reaching the semi-finals of the C1.

Rafinha arrived free in Paris in the last hours of the transfer window, on October 6, after terminating his contract in Barcelona. If Ronald Koeman was not counting on him anyway, the Catalan club had still inserted a bonus payment in case of qualification in the last four of the Champions League.
A clause also valid next year
A clause that will also apply for the 2021-2022 season. In all, Rafinha could therefore cost three million euros to Parisians, plus 35% of the price of a possible resale. Which will remain in total very likely lower than the release clause of 16 million euros that the Brazilian and Barca have terminated for him to join PSG.
For his first season in France, Rafinha has already played 30 matches with the Parisians, including eight in the Champions League. But the Brazilian midfielder has played less since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino: seven short minutes in C1 and five starts in Ligue 1. Last Wednesday, in the semi-final first leg of the Champions League, he remained on the bench against Manchester City ( 1-2).
