Discussions have started between PSG and Julian Draxler, at the end of the contract at the end of this 2020-2021 season. The German international has won the trust of Mauricio Pochettino.
Nothing says Julian Draxler will stay at PSG next season. But the capital club has opened, for the first time, discussions for the extension of a contract which ends in June 2021, learned this Friday RMC Sport, confirming information of The team.
This sudden desire sticks with the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino, who places a lot of confidence in the 27-year-old German international. The latter took part in the two matches of the knockout stages of the Champions League against FC Barcelona, even being the holder for the return (1-1) played on Wednesday. He has also played seven league games since the start of the year, with a goal (against Nice) and an assist (against Dijon) on the clock.

No firm offer for the moment
PSG, however, only started initial discussions, without making a firm offer. So far, there is no indication that the former Schalke player wants to extend.
The day before in Top of the Foot on RMC, the Parisian sporting director Leonardo had in any case cited the name of Julian Draxler among the players who would undoubtedly be the subject of an offer of extension. The Brazilian leader had in any case made it known that he had “the idea” to keep the players of the current squad, and not just Kylian Mbappé and Neymar. This also explains the imminent contract renewal of Angel Di Maria, until June 2022.
