In recent days, an Italian rumor reported a possible interest from AS Monaco for Javier Pastore, who is coming out of a new complicated season at AS Rome. The 32-year-old Argentinian would be interested in the challenge, according to his agent.
Since the appointment of José Mourinho at the head of AS Roma, Javier Pastore no longer seems welcome at the club. With just 78 minutes of play in total last season in the league, making six appearances in total, the Argentinian has had another tough season due to several injuries.

“He wants to try to continue playing in Europe”
Not selected by José Mourinho to participate in the pre-season, Javier Pastore is one of the undesirable. The Portuguese technician is not counting on him and has already made it known. The former PSG player therefore has an exit voucher, he whose contract expires in June 2023. At 32, El Flaco will therefore have to look for a new club if he wants to continue his career.
In a statement for LaRoma24, Marcelo Simonian, Javier Pastore’s agent, responded to a rumor sending his client to AS Monaco, partially relayed by the Italian press. “Monaco? It’s a possibility, it’s a club he appreciates,” said the agent, leaving the door open for a return to Ligue 1, three years after the departure of PSG.
President of Club Atlético Talleres, where Javier Pastore was trained, Andres Fassi also has an idea about the future of the attacking midfielder. “Javier wants to try to continue playing in Europe,” said the Argentine club president. “At some point he will come back, but not now. The door will always be open for him.” It is now up to Javier Pastore to convince that he still has the level to pursue his career in Europe.
