Lyon would have targeted several promising players for the next summer transfer window according to the newspaper L’Equipe. If the club should not splurge, several nice shots would be considered by OL.
Author of a great victory against Lorient this Saturday (4-1) on the 36th day of Ligue 1, OL remain in the race to land a ticket for the next Champions League. If the end of the season could still influence the future of Rudi Garcia at the head of the Rhone team, this should not upset the plans for the summer transfer window.
According to information from the newspaper L’Equipe, Lyon would have targeted two positions to be reinforced as a priority and several potential recruits have even already been identified. Despite a reduced budget due to the economic consequences of the health crisis and the uncertainty around TV rights, OL would like to recruit a left side and offensive reinforcement.

Juninho turns to Atlético and Algeria
In defense, Maxwel Cornet is indisputable on the left this season. But the Ivorian would still have good odds in England and Germany and a start this summer is not excluded. Lining of the 24-year-old player, Melvin Bard would then be the only specialist in the post. Juninho would study two profiles to strengthen the left lane of the Rhone defense. On the one hand, the Brazilian sporting director would like to attract his compatriot Renan Lodi. Little used this season in La Liga with twenty appearances and only 1000 minutes, the international auriverde with eight selections could agree to join Ligue 1 in the form of a loan. It would still be necessary to convince Atlético to part with a useful and well-integrated replacement in Diego Simeone’s group.
On the other hand, OL would also follow promising Algerian Hamza Mouali. Holder in Algerian D1 with Paradou FC, the 23-year-old side would be a less expensive option for the Gones. The presence of his compatriots Djamel Benlamri and Islam Slimani in Lyon could even facilitate his adaptation to L1.
Boga would like OL
Memphis Depay’s future is still not officially settled but the latest rumors from Catalonia suggest the Dutchman is close to joining Barca. In order to anticipate a possible departure of its star striker, OL would seek to recruit a versatile attacking player. In a very different register from that of the Batavian, Lyon would appreciate Jérémie Boga. The 24-year-old Ivorian winger is having a good season with Sassuolo in Serie A and has scored three goals and provided two assists in 24 games.
Then again, Juninho could sign a nice blow thanks to the contractual situation of the former Chelsea player. Free in June 2022, Jérémie Boga could well be released this summer by Sassuolo. Especially if his coach Roberto de Zerbi, whose name is sometimes cited on the side of OL, came to join Ligue 1. Five years after his loan to Rennes, the former hope could return to France during the transfer window. But before launching its recruitment, the priority of the Lyon management remains the qualification for the next Champions League.
