English club Manchester United have entered into negotiations with Real Madrid to secure the signature of French center-back Raphaël Varane.
Raphaël Varane at MU, the soap opera continues. Looking for an experienced central defender to support Harry Maguire, Manchester United have targeted the French defender Real Madrid. The 28-year-old player who has long closed the door to a departure from the Merengue is this time tempted by the Mancunian challenge. One year from the end of his contract, Real Madrid are not completely opposed to a transfer to bring some cash into the club’s coffers. After making sure that the French international (79 caps) is up for a new challenge with MU in the Premier League, the English leaders have entered into discussions with their counterparts at Real for a few days.

Real too greedy … for now
According to the Daily Sports, Florentino Perez has set the price of 50 million pounds, or around 58 million euros, for his center-back. A price considered too high for a player at the end of his contract in 2022. If the two parties will continue their discussions, Raphaël Varane, respectful of the club which has brought him to the top for ten years, does not intend to go to arm wrestling if Real holds it back, for lack of agreement. Trained in Lens, the Madrid defender joined Real Madrid in 2011, a club with which he won, in particular, four Champions Leagues and three Ligas.
