According to information from RMC Sport, an agreement has been reached between Mike Maignan and AC Milan. The French goalkeeper is expected to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma, provided the Italian goalkeeper leaves. An agreement must also be found between LOSC and the Milanese club to complete the operation.
Mike Maignan is AC Milan’s priority to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma. According to our information, an agreement in principle has been found between the Milan club and the French player. The agreement will cover a 5-year contract. Some details remain to be finalized between the two parties.
A deal at 16.5 million?
According to a source close to AC Milan, the agreement would be conditional on the departure of Donnarumma from the Italian club. The Italian press is speculating for its part in recent days on an interest of Juventus for the Italian goalkeeper, who also comes to the end of his contract next June and who has not yet extended.
Between LOSC and AC Milan, discussions are advanced on an agreement of around 15 million euros which could go up to 16.5 million with bonus, to secure the services of Mike Maignan. In 35 Ligue 1 games this season, Maignan has conceded only 22 goals, often being decisive in saving his team.
Centerpiece of Christophe Galtier’s team this season, Mike Maignan arouses envy. Borussia Dortmund and another big European club, whose name has not been filtered, remain in the race for the signing of the 25-year-old French international. Until then, the LOSC will need Maignan for the final sprint for the title, with an appointment from the 36th day in Lens, for a derby which promises to be decisive for the end of the season.
