Before the Lille industrial tribunal on Friday, the Argentinian Marcelo Bielsa had very harsh words for Gérard Lopez’s former sports advisor, the Portuguese Luis Campos.

The Portuguese leader, former adviser to the ex-president of LOSC Gérard Lopez, is accused by the Argentinian technician of having orchestrated his dismissal with harassment which consisted in sabotaging the work of the one nicknamed “El Loco” (the crazy).
“Campos never wanted to help me, argued Bielsa during his hearing before the Prud’hommes de Lille who will decide in the dispute between the Argentinian and the northern club following his dismissal for serious misconduct pronounced in December 2017.
Bielsa: “It was impossible to talk about football with Campos”
“It was impossible to talk about football with Campos, he only talked about the commercial part, the players’ agents, the prices, the percentages, the commissions … he was not interested in talking about football”, a chained Bielsa. The Leeds coach criticizes Luis Campos for not having lived up to the initial project he was presented with on his arrival, concerning the recruitment.
“We worked together with Luis Campos on the recruitment, explained. He offered me a list of thirty-three players, three per position, and we agreed on the choices. But none of the thirty -Three planned players did not come to LOSC. We had to look for a 4th, then a 5th, even an 8th option … Everything was very messy. In the end, Campos only knew the names of the players he proposed. “
Marcelo “El Loco” Bielsa, who coached Lille in 2017 and who now manages English club Leeds, which he brought up this season in the Premier League, spoke via videoconference and in Spanish for nearly an hour to contest the terms of his dismissal from the Lille club, which he claims about 19 million euros. The Lille Prud’hommes will make their decision on July 2.
