Four RC Lens players have tested positive for coronavirus, the club announced Thursday. They will be absent for the match scheduled for Sunday against Lorient, in the middle of the final sprint of the championship.

According to health protocol, people who test positive will be sidelined for at least seven days. “The club remains mobilized to face this new episode and will continue to adopt all the necessary precautions to preserve the health of all”, writes RC Lens in a press release, in which he underlines the “efforts made by everyone” to avoid contaminations.
The players in question are therefore unavailable for the reception of FC Lorient, Sunday afternoon (3:00 pm) within the framework of the 32nd day of Ligue 1. A match which is not threatened for the moment. The four Lensois could possibly return for the next match, in Brest, subject to a negative test.
With seven days remaining, RC Lens occupies fifth place in the standings. He has a small point ahead of Olympique de Marseille. In front, Olympique Lyonnais, fourth, took off with a gap of twelve lengths.
