New Delhi, 8 May: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fast bowler has been found infected with the famous Krishna Corona virus. He is the fourth player in the team who has come in the grip of this epidemic. According to an ESPN Cricinfo report, KKR’s Varun Chakraborty, Sandeep Warrier and Tim Seifert were also found to be Corona positive before Krishna. Krishna is believed to have passed all the tests before joining the IPL bubble in Ahmedabad, but was found positive when he returned to Bengaluru.
On Friday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selected Krishna as a standby player for the final of the World Test Championship and the Test series in England. Krishna made his ODI debut against England this year in Pune and took six wickets in three matches.

Varun and Sandeep were the two players in the KKR team who were previously found to be Corona positive. Apart from KKR, IPL 2021 was postponed after some other teams also saw corona cases. Apart from Varun and Sandeep, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Wriddhiman Saha and Delhi Capitals’ Amit Mishra were also found positive.
Earlier, on Saturday, New Zealand Cricket reported that Tim Seifert has also been hit by Corona and he will remain in India for the time being. Krishna played seven matches for KKR this season and took eight wickets.
