Released on September 18 last month, the Kia Sonnet was booked for 50 thousand units in just 1 month and is expected to be the top-selling car in the compact SUV. Released as Kia Motors’ third car model, the Sonnet Compact SUV is 1.2-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine for performance lovers.
According to the Delhi Exterior, the new sonnet is initially priced at Rs. The top-end model from Rs 6.71 lakh to Rs. Priced at Rs 12.89 lakh, the new car can be purchased in GT-Line and Tech-line variants.
GTX Plus variant on GT line is available for purchase with HTE, HTK, HTK Plus, HTX and Htx Plus variants on GT line. Passenger safety is a top priority with many premium features in the new Sonnet car, with the same technical features as the sub-four meter car.
The Kia Sonnet is offered in three models, the 1.2-litre petrol, the 1.5-litre diesel, and the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine for performance lovers.
The 1.2-litre petrol engine produces 83-bhp and 115-hp of torque with a 5-manual gearbox, while the 1.5-litre CRDI diesel engine produces 100-bhp, 240-Nm of torque and 6-speed torque with a 6-speed manual gearbox The automatic gearbox model produces 115-bhp, 250-Nm of torque.
The 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo engine, which will be sold as a high-end model, is the best performance model with a 6-speed Intelligent Manual (IMT) and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with 120-bhp and 172-nm torque output.
