Ram said that Apple’s success in the first quarter of 2021 was primarily driven by the aspirational appeal that the brand has sustained among consumers. Apart from this, he also cited its performance in the ad-tech sector as one of the main reasons. Apple has been able to continue its strong growth momentum from the second half of 2020 into the new year as well. Apple iPad growth (year-on-year) in the country was 42 percent in 2020, while in the fourth quarter of last year it registered a growth of 135 percent on a year-on-year basis.
