Ind vs Eng 4th Test Match 2021: Team India’s explosive opener Rohit Sharma played a brilliant innings of 49 runs in the fourth Test match released in Ahmedabad today. However, he missed out on his 13th half-century by just one run. Sharma was dismissed LBW by Ben Stokes on a personal score of 49 runs. Sharma faced 144 balls during his 49-run innings, hitting seven fours.
Rohit Sharma has also become the second Indian player to score a thousand runs in the World Test Championship with his best innings. Apart from this, he also became the first Asian player to score the fastest one thousand runs in the World Test Championship. Sharma has scored 1030 runs in 17 innings, playing 11 matches so far in the World Test Championship. Four centuries and two half-centuries have come out of Sharma’s bat during this period.

Prior to Sharma, the statistics of scoring a thousand runs in the World Test Championship for the country was received by the vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane. Rahane has played 10 matches in the Test Championship so far, scoring 1095 runs in 28 innings with an average of 43.80. Rahane’s bat has yielded three centuries and six half-centuries during this period.
Explain that currently the record of scoring the most runs in the World Test Championship is in the name of promising Australian player Marnus Labushane. Labushane has scored 1675 runs at an average of 72.82 in 23 innings, playing 13 matches so far in the World Test Championship. Labushane has five centuries and nine half-centuries in the Test Championship.
