Important news for pensioners, you can submit your life certificate from home by these methods

If you are a pensioner and your life certificate has not been submitted, then there is no need to worry anymore. In view of the corona epidemic, the central government has given a variety of options for submitting life certificates for 67 lakh pensioners. Now you can also submit a life certificate in the post office and bank near your home. You can also submit a life certificate through these methods.

All pensioners of the Employees Pension Scheme 1995 (EPS 95) have to submit their Life Certificate i.e. their Life Certificate by 30 November every year to get pension. However, due to Corona, this year the government extended its date to 31 December. A life certificate is proof of the pensioner’s survival. Non-submission of life certificate may result in pension disbursement.

You can also submit a life certificate through these methods

Can deposit in bank and post office
Apart from the 135 Regional Offices and 117 District Offices of EPFO, EPF pensioners can now submit life certificates to the bank branches and nearest post offices from where they are drawing pension.

Can be deposited in common service center

Apart from this, you can also submit a life certificate by going to the Common Service Center. EPF pensioners can also submit certificates through the Umang app.


Life certificate will also be submitted from home

Now pensioners will be able to submit their life certificates through postman. The Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions launched the Door Service to present digital life certificates through postmen. It is a great relief for pensioners that they will be able to produce life certificates while at home.

You can also use the Umang app

– Download Umang App from Google Playstore. On opening the app, search for the Jeevan Pramukh service in it. Then connect the biometric device to your mobile.
– Click on the tab of General Life Certificate given inside Jeevan Pramaan Service.
– Here your Aadhaar number and mobile number will appear in the Pension Authentication tab. If both things are correct then click on the generated OTP button.
– Fill the OTP number on your mobile at the designated place and submit. After this, scan your fingerprint with the help of your biometric device.
Digital Life Certificate will be ready with fingerprint. Click on View Certificate to view the certificate. It can be seen with the help of Aadhaar number.
