At the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, Hyundai debuted a concept called “45”, winner of the famed iF Design Award. It is a design exercise that owes its name to the 45 ° angles formed at the front and rear, and which pays tribute to the design of Giorgetto Giugiaro’s Pony.
Of course, it was an electrical concept, built on a “skid” type platform, with the battery installed as a floor and with the motors installed on each axis, a structure that is increasingly common among manufacturers.
And what are we going to do with all this? To which Hyundai decided to gaze at its navel and celebrate its spectacular concept by designing a toy car with the same design.
It is Hyundai’s smallest electric vehicle to date, displaying the 45 Concept-inspired exterior stylings, painted in a Performance Blue color with orange accents, but constructed of wood.
The brand indicates that it mounts two direct current motors that push it to a maximum speed of 7 km / h, although it does not report either power or autonomy. Hyundai’s designers were inspired by motorsports to place a single seat in the middle of the car.
More details will be revealed soon on how this one-of-a-kind electric vehicle will deliver a unique mobility experience for young customers.
