How to use password protection on your smart phone

Google has released new features in its Internet browser Chrome this week. Smartphone users are also notified if their password is ever online.

This feature was released as part of the Chrome 86 update and was released under the name Safety Check on Android and iPhone smartphones.

Chrome sends you your username and password in a special encryption format to detect your compromised password. This then allows Google to check on the cramped credential.

Google does not derive your username and password from the encrypted copy. This feature only works on specific passwords.

If you are thinking about how to do this, follow these steps:

  1. Open Google Chrome
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Tap on Passwords
  4. Tap on Check Passwords
