Ambala, 20 November (Language) Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij was given a trial dose (trial dose) of indigenously developed potential vaccine covaxin on Friday to prevent corona virus. He is the first in the state to voluntarily come up for the third phase of vaccine testing. The third phase of Bharat Biotech’s Kovaxin trial began in the state on Friday. Vij said that he is the first person in the country to voluntarily take its dose in the third phase of the vaccine trial. Vij is said to be the first cabinet minister of any state government to voluntarily come up with a test dose of a possible vaccine for Kovid-19. Vij, an MLA from Ambala Cantt, said on Wednesday that the Phase III trial of covaxin would begin in the state from November 20 and he has been offered a dose. This potential vaccine named covaxin has been developed by Bharat Biotech in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research. Human trials of covaxin began in July this year at PGIMS in Rohtak. While giving the vaccine dose to Vij, Vice Chancellor of PGIMS, Rohtak O. A team of doctors including P. Kalra and Dhruv Chaudhary were present there. Civil surgeon Dr. Kuldeep Singh told reporters that Kovaxin was successfully given to Vij. However, before this the minister had some tests done in the hospital and he was kept under observation for some time before being vaccinated. However, he later worked in his office in Chandigarh. Asked if he felt scared even while taking the vaccine, Vij told PTI, “What is the fear.” Vij said that he told his family and well-wishers that if other people tested the vaccine Can get it done on himself, so why can’t he do it.
